One Cast, Many Worlds: How We Keep Every Character Consistent

·6 min read

Ask anyone who works with AI art what the hardest problem is, and you'll hear the same answer: consistency. Keeping a character's face, proportions, and style stable across hundreds of renders is the difference between a cast and a crowd of strangers. Here's how we solve it at Petite Princess.

Reference sheets are law

Every character — from our elven princess to the Goth Gaming Girl — begins with a locked reference sheet: face structure, hair behavior, eye color, proportions, and signature wardrobe elements. No render enters production until it matches the sheet. No exceptions.

Style without sameness

Consistency doesn't mean repetition. Each character has a palette, lighting language, and compositional style that belongs to her alone — forest gold for the elven princess, candlelit blue for Cinderella, neon black for the gamer. The character stays identical; her world keeps evolving.

The video multiplication problem

In video, every frame is a new chance for a face to drift. Our motion pipeline anchors identity frame-by-frame, with manual review passes for anything that slips. It's the slowest part of production — and the reason our characters feel like recurring stars rather than one-off images.
